1990 PUMA CLYDE GREEN JAPAN RELEASE

The PUMA Clyde is one of those silhouettes that almost everybody knows, sneakerheads and casual consumers alike, but how many of these folks can spot a deadstock vintage PUMA Clyde and pick it out of a bunch?
Deep “broccoli” green, rough leather uppers sliced with off-white PUMA form stripes build a solid base for this long-time classic of almost every trainer collector’s treasure trove. PUMA proudly displays their animal logo on the tongue and heel patch, matching the white of the textured midsole that is stitched to the upper. The gum rubber outsole is very lightly tractioned with an ‘x’ and square patterning and the tip of the midsole is marked with vertical grooves for better toe grip and durability against stubs.
This relic comes packaged in a bright green PUMA shoe box and laced in matching green laces. Underneath the tongue is the old school slogan “PUMA macht’s mit Qualität” (loosely translated to ‘PUMA does it with Quality’).
